OODAx was born from our founder's experience with the bureaucracy of programmatics, requirements, and acquisitions while on active duty and then similar experiences in the commercial industry. After three years in Amazon Operations, our founder helped launch AWS Mission Engineering and found himself right back in "the horns of a dilemma." At AWS, our remit was to accelerate delivery of critical technology for the warfighter in combatant commands and while ambitious, our goals may have been more aggressive than the bureaucracy was ready for. Since 2022, our founder has supported commercial programs with AWS and small businesses to accelerate the delivery of critical technologies to our warfighters and analysts in combatant commands. Our founder and team lived the pain of accelerating critical technology in both uniform and as a member of commercial industry.
The OODAx Story
The Concept of Colonel Boyd's "Horns of a Dilemma," is foundational in understanding the OODA LOOP (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) and it is foundational in understanding why OODAx exists. At OODAx, we aim to help our clients Observe, Orient, Decide and Act faster and achieve their objective (X) faster than otherwise possible. OODAx leverages deep understanding of market dynamics and how to hack bureaucracies to accelerate sales for our clients. OODAx's approach of working backwards from the warfighter's pain points and then identifying Lighthouse Customers and Early Adopters works. In DoW sales, product-market fit becomes product-mission-system fit to solve a mission problem and integrate the new product or system with legacy products and systems. Legacy systems integrators failed in the past because they placed the importance of their work in Washington, D.C. over their work with the warfighters and analysts at the edge. Companies like Anduril and Palantir succeed because their North Star is solving our warfighters and analysts pain points.
Our founder lived the pain of having the wrong gear and technology during combat operations while on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. While on active duty from 2009-2011, our founder stood up a new program. Commercially, our founder helped launch the AWS’ Mission Engineering program to hack the bureaucracies of a myriad of commands and accelerate delivery of critical capabilities to our warfighters. The work that needs to be done to accelerate sales to the DoW often includes demonstrations and experimental exercise support at the right time and place, engagement plans with the warfighter in the combatant commands and the program offices with budget authority and then the senior leaders that care about solving problems. The success of the AWS Mission Engineering experience and our work with small companies solving edge problems is replicable, as evidenced by the success of OODAx's clients today.

First, the National Critical Infrastructure Platform (CIP) is a unified command-and-control AI platform designed to protect, monitor, and coordinate critical infrastructure operations across all eighteen critical sectors designated by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). CIP consolidates cyber defense, physical security, emergency operations, regulatory compliance, asset management, threat intelligence, and public safety functions into a single deployable platform and a Single Pane of Glass. The CyberSecurity Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act of 2022 requires CUI reporting from any entity (commercial, academic or government) subject to a cybersecurity incident and receiving federal funding starting in June 2026.
The Automated Classification Tool (ACT) is a containerized, policy-driven data classification, downgrade, declassification, and redaction AI platform that automatically classifies CUI, NSI, FvEye, SAP & SCI - auto portion marks, redacts, and declassify documents designed for environments that handle sensitive, regulated, or classified information. The platform automates classification decisions across multiple frameworks while preserving strict auditability, reproducibility, and legal defensibility. ACT is delivered as a hardened Docker image, with optional Kubernetes orchestration, and is designed to operate consistently across disconnected enclaves, classified networks, on-premise data centers, and compliant cloud environments.
The Mission Authority & Enforcement Security Tracking Resource Orchestrator (MAESTRO) is a mission-centric artificial intelligence platform that models, enforces, and records industrial security requirements from NIST SP 800-171 across organizations, programs, contracts, facilities, systems, and people. MAESTRO replaces document-driven compliance with system-enforced mission authority, transforming industrial security from reactive paperwork bureaucracy into continuous, auditable mission assurance platform.

Our Fee
Simple. Clients can start with retained or ad hoc hours charged at the same hourly rates. Commissions are flat, lowest in the industry and can be paid in cash or equity after winning contracts.
